Step one: Start with the second image called "Simple FTP" When the user rolls the mouse pointer to "Launcher's" second image, a blue box highlight appears around the image. At this point, the user must release the left mouse button to execute the "Simple FTP" program. Login starts with the application After the application is underway the user must know the following: Step one The use must know the FTP Server Name (example "ftp.something.com" ) Step two If the user has an active account on the FTP site type in your user name and password in the specified area labeled user name and password Step three If the user does not have a login in name and password to the specified FTP server then leave the user name entry blank for a anonymous login. Step four If the user knows the default start-up directories on the specific FTP server, the user can select that directory by typing in the start-up directory path or after the user logs into the FTP server they can manually select the directories by click the mouse into the dialogue box marked "Start-up directories". The next login will automatically start the user into that directory on both the Local and Remote directories if desired. Step five Turn File details on or off Turn File Dates / Times "on and off" Click the detail box once with a check mark This will select or de-select the detail box, to be "on or off" Step six Drag and Drop files into Local / Remote directories To move a file from the local hard drive to remote directory hard drive. The user can either use the Upload and Down load button or Drag and Drop Files into the selected directory on the local or remote hard drive To drag and drop use the left mouse button to highlight and hold a selected file. Drag the file with the mouse to the appropriate Local / Remote directory and release the mouse button. The file will automatically be uploaded or downloaded into the appropriate directory. Step seven The Multi Connect Function will allow the user to have two FTP sessions activated at one time. The user must highlight the word "Connect" on the Title Bar of "Simple FTP" By doing this it will allow a Multi-Connect session of "Simple FTP" The user can get multiple Uploads / Downloads processing at the same time. The user will see another "Simple FTP" session window The user should follow the process above to get another FTP server session. This will allow the user to gain multiple file upload or download at the same time Step eight To Rename a File Name Click on the file name with the left mouse button once This function will be on the Local or Remote directory A blue highlight will appear and the user can type in a new file name. Retype the file name and press 'enter' on the keyboard. The newly typed name will now appear. This process will be the same for the Local or Remote directories This will allow the user to re-name file names Step nine To Create a New Directory Name Highlight the directory with the mouse. Click the Create Dir. Button This will pull up a dialog box for the user to type in a new directory name. When the dialogue box appears The user is able to type the new directory name into the field. Click 'ok' button to activate the new name. Step ten To Delete Directory or File Name Highlight the Directory / File with the left mouse button Click the "delete" button on the button bar of "Simple FTP" This action will prompt the user with a dialogue box to make sure the action requested is actually the action desired. Click 'ok' to answer yes After that the item selected will be deleted. Special Note After logging into the "Simple FTP" application, it will keep track of the he last FTP server entry name for a automatic login on the next session.
